Parks and Rec Summer Playhouse

For six weeks during the summer, the Roxy Regional Theatre hosts a summer drama camp sponsored by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department.  Children ages 10 to 16 learn basic acting techniques, improvisational skills and stage movement, culminating in a free performance for family and friends on the final day of the program.

The 2012 Summer Playhouse runs June 4 through July 12, with classes meeting Monday through Thursday from 1pm until 3pm. Registration, which is $30 for the entire six-week program, begins the week of May 28, from 2pm until 4pm, at the Parks and Recreation office on Public Square. You may register anytime after June 4, but the fee remains the same.
