Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Since 1995, the Roxy Regional Theatre has been introducing youth to the experience of live theatre and expanding their knowledge of the craft through the School of the Arts.  Children ages 10 to 18 learn basic acting techniques, workshop plays, and present a junior production on the mainstage as part of the regular season.  Classes meet every Saturday during the school year from 9am until 11am.  Cost is $60 per month, and no pre-registration is required.

The spring session of the School of the Arts begins Saturday, January 14, 2012. Students will be working on the junior musical Disney’s 101 DALMATIANS and 13: The Musical, to be presented on the mainstage in the summer of 2012.

Following the School of the Arts on Saturdays from 11am until 12:30pm are “Dance for the Theatre” classes with Travis Kendrick. Registration for both acting and dance classes is $100/month.
